The Home Made Music Society will have its first Music Circle back at the Roeder Home next Wednesday, July 1st. Come sing songs of celebration! There will be no charge for music circles, either to the public or for the use of the space. Other arts groups will be able to do the same.

We're planning to have a Home Made Music Society concert to benefit the Roeder Home on Wednesday July 22. (I assume I can find some musicians to play....) We can begin booking more Wednesday concerts whenever hosts are ready. The charge for the Home will be $60. I think we can find a way to manage that. This rate still needs to be approved by the County Council, but I think they'll do that.

Now we need a just little more help. Not a lot.

FIRST: It's time to volunteer! Go to the county parks website, and it will direct you to the Whatcom Volunteer Center website to register. http://www.co.whatcom.wa.us/parks/admin/Volunteer.jsp
www.whatcomvolunteer.org

The Parks will have 90 minute docent and volunteer training sessions for us all so we can get up to speed. You can volunteer once, or monthly, or weekly - whatever you have time and energy for. Many hands make light work! We need a flood of folks to register, and then we can figure who wants to do what, when the dust settles. Anything from light house cleaning to hosting music circles or other arts events. Or just being a host, opening the home and being available to have tea with people who are curious about this beautiful jewel of a historic home and the wonderful art that has been created and shared there for so many years.

SECOND: Please thank the County Council & Pete Kremen. It's really, really important to say thank you.! We are building long-term relationships. Let's keep those relationships really good.

And now for my own thank you: Thank YOU from the bottom of my heart! I can not tell you how much this means to me.... Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!! Every one of you.... Thank you......
